The girls run the show; they plan their calendar of events, manage their own budget, select their officers and provide input for appointed adult councilors each term. These experiences provide an opportunity for girls to build strong life and career skills.
It’s also a place to build lasting friendships and not just close to home, the girls have opportunities to meet members of Bethels throughout the Commonwealth at the annual Grand Bethel Session held on the Ferrum College campus each July. Those with the means travel can attend the Supreme Bethel Session held each August where members from all over the world come together.
If you’re interested in learning more about membership you can use the contact form or call our Bethel Guardian, Alicia Loving at 804-730-4915 or 804-822-7778. Prospective members and their families may drop by the Lodge 45 minutes prior to our meetings to meet our members and Council.
She is a young girl, of eight or nine, who is not quite old enough to be a member of Job’s Daughters International, but is interested in our activities and wants to learn about becoming a Job’s Daughter. She can build self-confidence, be of service to others, enjoy fun activities, travel, and participate in local, state, and international functions.
Have we mentioned fun activities? As a "Jobie-To-Bee," the girl will get to know the other members who are looking forward to joining, or have already had the opportunity to join Job’s Daughters. They will also meet the adult volunteers.
